Nicola Boulton

Marcus McAdam Photography Nicola BoultonNiki has been working on Skye for 4 years now. She loves her wildlife, and has an honours degree in Zoo Biology. She’s been picking up cameras for over ten years - a habit which has fuelled a lifelong passion for nature photography.

"Although I love my wildlife, I get just as excited about other forms of nature, be it flora, fossils, or geology. For this reason I love being out in the landscape where nature excites all my senses. I love decoding the stories the land has to tell, and love showing others too."

"When it comes to photography, I am comfortable in any environment and with any subject as long as it’s natural. From sweeping wide angle landscapes to telephoto bird shots, even true 1:1 macro work, I never cease to be enthused by how the camera can capture that special moment in time."

Niki was a finalist in the prestigous Wildlife Photographer of the Year, hosted by the Natural History Museum in London, a few years ago. She’s ready to pass on her photographic knowledge and in 2017 will be mostly supervising our Beginner’s Workshops.

“Don’t take this the wrong way Marcus, but we were so glad you sent us off for the day with Nikki.  We couldn’t imagine a better guide and tutor.  We both feel we learnt so much, had a total blast, and made a great new friend”.
