Marcus McAdam

Marcus McAdam PhotographyMarcus McAdam has been a professional photographer for the past twelve years. He started his career after winning the Practical Photography Photographer of the Year Award, and since then hasn’t looked back. He’s travelled to over fifty countries on photographic assignments for the likes of Microsoft, Panasonic and Caffe Nero. Marcus also works with companies such as English Heritage and Visit Britain, who recognise his talents as one of the UK’s top landscape photographers.

As a self described travel photographer, Marcus is as comfortable taking a naturally lit portrait, as he is when seeking potential in a wide and dramatic landscape. Now based on Skye for the past seven years, he has previously lived and worked in such places as Rwanda, China, and Italy, where amongst spending time behind the lens, also taught English and photography, so he’s no novice when it comes to passing on knowledge.

Marcus has been a regular contributor and feature writer for many photographic magazines over the past few years, and has been sponsored by Hasselblad, Fujifilm, and Lowepro.
Marcus caters for all levels of experience and abilities, so will be happy to improve your photography whether you have a point and shoot compact or the latest all singing all dancing digital setup.

“I just wanted to pass on my thanks for an exceptional day.  I have been attempting to learn about photography for many years, and I can honestly say that I learnt more from you in a day than I have in years of reading books and spending time with other photographers. Your teaching approach of ‘keeping everything simple’ really connected with me, and now I feel I know exactly what I am doing.  This isn’t the last you have seen of me Mr McAdam!”

Jen from Edinburgh (Oct 2014)

“I will be recommending you to all my photography friends as a great way to improve their photography, a great way to see the best locations of Skye, but above all - a guaranteed way to have an amazing and fun time.”

Ron from Canada (April 2014)
